Inspired to Create
Thursdays 1:00-2:00 online
Each week Beth will show you resources and inspiration connected to a theme. Beth may use historical art references, contemporary artists, influencers and your own environment to shape the creative tasks she sets. Recent theme examples have been, steampunk, folky florals, home, painting with tea and coffee, pets and taking a line for a walk, Paul Klee style! The themes are set so they can be explored be beginner artists or improvers. So these are perfect workshops to take inspiration in your own direction.
During the workshop Beth will show images and talk through how they can be used to influence your own style and build skills. She will also demonstrate techniques and chat about art materials. Beths workshops will cover general art, drawing, fashion illustration, and textiles every week! After each workshop your mind will be full of ideas...it will be like a mini art foundation course squeezed into an hour! You will be able to choose which activities you complete and gold stars will be issued for whoever attempts them all!!! Beth is an ideas person - so if you need ideas to get the creative juices flowing, this is the perfect course!
How does a Beth Morris Workshop zoom workshop work? The format of all online workshops will be the same. The participants will be muted on entry to the zoom session and it is very much a listen and learn workshop. However, this does mean the energy and enthusiasm will be any less than if we were all in the same room together. There will be chats, tasks and demonstrations to watch and you will be encouraged to engage with questions via the chat facility on zoom. Sometimes we’ll unmute and chat to each other. We will become a community - it wont be too formal! Equally if people feel comfortable just to listen rather than engage, that is fine too. There is no pressure. The tasks will be short but inventive so will get you thinking quickly and will leave you keen to develop your creativity after the workshop.
How will I access the workshop? The day before the workshop course is due to take place you will receive the zoom ID code and password via email. Please do not share this with anybody else. All workshops will take place promptly at the times advertised.
The workshops will run if at least 7 people sign up to each course. If the course does not run, all payments will be refunded. Refunds can not be issued for participant non attendance.
Class sizes are not limited as most of the engagement is listening to the inspiration as it unfolds. You will always be able to ask questions, chat and make comments using the chat option.
