Fridays 9:30-11:00
Starting Friday 19th September 2025
12 week term with a break for half term
Taught by Esther Young of Creatorship
Creative Journaling is a nurturing, inspiring course designed for anyone with a creative spark and a desire to explore their inner world through words, imagery, and guided reflection. Led by experienced creative coach and mentor Esther Young of Creatorship, this weekly workshop offers a unique blend of gentle coaching and hands-on artistic journaling that supports emotional resilience, clarity, and self-expression.
Whether you’re a freelancer, small business owner, or someone simply craving space for creativity and connection, this group provides a warm, supportive environment to reflect, create, and grow. Each session is packed with thoughtful prompts and creative tasks using an ever-changing mix of materials, from collage and watercolour to scrapbooking ephemera and mark-making tools, all designed to help you explore your thoughts and reconnect with your creative voice.
You’ll explore:
Guided journaling prompts and coaching exercises that encourage self-reflection, goal setting, and creative intention helping you untangle your thoughts and focus your energy where it matters most.
Creative resilience tasks, such as gratitude lists, visual mood-mapping, and affirmations, designed to gently strengthen emotional wellbeing and provide tools you can return to again and again.
Art-based mindfulness practices, including slow watercolour techniques, layered mixed-media collages, and expressive mark-making, helping you slow down and reconnect with yourself through process-led artmaking.
Exploration of visual storytelling through scrapbooking elements, curated imagery, found materials, and personal memorabilia that turn your journal into a deeply personal, artistic record of your journey.
Inspirational quote illustration and creative lettering, bringing words that matter to life on the page in your own unique style.
Vision board-style spreads and creative goal-mapping, giving form and focus to your dreams, whether they’re personal, professional, or purely imaginative.
Weekly experimentation with new materials: inks, stamps, stitching, layering, watercolour, collage and more, so that you leave with a toolkit of artistic techniques to inspire your journaling long after the course ends.
This is a joyful, thoughtful and creatively rich course where you’ll build a one-of-a-kind journal that reflects who you are and where you’re headed. You’ll leave each session feeling supported, inspired, and full of practical ideas, not to mention a growing community of new creative friends.
All art materials are provided, just bring your curiosity and an open mind…
