Inspiration Club (Secondary)

£110.00
sold out

Sketch booking, research drawing, fashion, textiles, mixed media

Tuesday 5:30-6:45

11-18 secondary

Starting Tuesday 29th April 2025

10 week term with a break for half term

Taught by Beth Morris

These sessions are taught by Beth Morris. The students will get a fantastic experience learning about how to keep inspiraional sketchbooks as a resource of ideas to use in future art projects.

We’ll be influenced by the culture and environment we live in. Films, Netflix, social media etc will all be used positively to act as idea generators. We’ll explore contemporary artists, instagram creatives, illustration, fashion and textiles, drawing and painting, collage, urban sketching, and graphic design and digital media. Sometimes workshops will take place outdoors so be prepared for adventure and a unique approach to learning. Your creative limits will be pushed and you will discover art that you didn’t know you had inside. Can’t wait to see those sketchbooks bursting with artistic experimentation!

This art club for young people of secondary school age is unique in the fact that it does not follow a curriculum. But, enhances the students experience alongside their school work without even realising it. You will be shown techniques and how to use materials creatively to improve on your artistic knowledge. Imagine it like a mini art foundation course where you learn and are inspired by your tutor and your peers. The great thing about this course is it is very much art for pleasure. There are no exams, homework or assessments. It is a place where students come to enjoy creating without limitations or pressure.
