Sketch Book Club Primary

Mondays 4:00-5:15

age 7-11 primary

Starting Monday 15th September

12 week term with a break for half term

Taught by Amanda Turner

'Through drawing we learn to see’

Start your creative journey at Insole Court’s original sketchbook club for children of primary school age 7-11. This popular course is now in its seventh academic year and because of demand, we are running four sketchbook club for this age group throughout the week.

Learn drawing skills and make your mark by discovering the joys of creating tone, line, shape and pattern. You will discover how to illustrate people and draw from life and your surroundings. Together we will explore water-colours, collage and free flow art. Sometimes we’ll paint to music and we’ll splash inks around to achieve exciting results.

We will be inspired by artists, old and new, and will never run out of amazing ideas!

These termly workshops will help budding artists discover their own potential, while building artistic confidence and having fun.

Insole Court is the perfect location to explore landscapes and the urban environment. Weather dependent we will sometimes get out and about and draw what we see, so please always dress accordingly. Equally some sessions are messy, so best to avoid special clothes.
