Artist / Maker / Tutor:
Gail Jones is a celebrated botanical artist and illustrator working from her studio in rural Buckinghamshire. Known for her exquisite watercolour studies of flowers, foliage and seasonal botanicals, Gail’s work brings the quiet poetry of nature to life one delicate brushstroke at a time.
Her original paintings and illustrations are highly sought after by brands, publishers, stylists and private collectors. Recent collaborations include Jo Malone, Molton Brown and Dior, with her refined botanical style bringing natural beauty and timeless elegance to interiors, packaging, print and editorial projects.
Gail’s practice is rooted in close observation and patience. She layers translucent colour, builds gentle tonal shifts, and captures the grace of petals, fruit, stems and leaves in luminous detail. On her Instagram she shares glimpses into her sketchbooks and studio process inviting viewers into the slow magic of her craft.
Alongside her commercial work, Gail teaches botanical watercolour workshops at her home and larger groups at universities, generously sharing her knowledge, technique and love for the natural world. Her sessions champion mindful creativity, careful looking, and the joy of building confidence with brush, pigment and paper.
