Design Your 2027: Vision Board & Reflection Workshop with Esther Young of Creatorship
Sunday 24th January 2027
10:00-4:00
Adult workshop (but GCSE and A-Level students are very welcome to join in. It will be a great skills workshop for those taking creative subjects)
WORKSHOP:
A Creative Journaling and Collage Workshop with Esther Young
A new year. A fresh start. A little time to think about what really matters to you.
Join our wonderful tutor Esther Young for a very special day of creative reflection, journaling and collage, as we take time to pause, reconnect and consider what we'd like the year ahead to look like.
This is so much more than simply making a vision board. It's an opportunity to step away from the busyness of everyday life, give yourself some much-needed creative space and explore your hopes, ambitions and intentions for 2027.
We'll begin with a gentle, guided reflection session, using thoughtful journaling prompts to explore what you'd like to introduce, change, develop or perhaps leave behind. Whether you're thinking about family, friendships, career, health, creative ambitions, a new venture or simply finding a little more balance, Esther will help you focus on the things that matter most to you.
From here, we'll move into the wonderful world of mindful collage and visual storytelling. Working with a carefully curated collection of magazines, imagery, typography, textures and words, you'll begin gathering the elements that speak to you and your personal vision.
Esther will guide you through selecting and refining your ideas, experimenting with composition, layering, colour and the incorporation of meaningful words, affirmations and even hidden messages. Your finished piece might be bold and colourful, quiet and reflective, or something completely unexpected. There are no rules, and certainly no right or wrong answers.
Throughout the day, Esther will create a relaxed, supportive and encouraging environment where you can experiment freely, enjoy the gentle rhythm of making and allow your ideas to develop naturally. Whether your vision is bold and ambitious or quiet and deeply personal, this is a space where every approach is welcome.
After the busyness of the festive season, this is a wonderful opportunity to slow down, switch off from everyday demands and give yourself permission to focus entirely on you. There's something incredibly rewarding about getting lost in the process of cutting, arranging, layering and creating, allowing your thoughts and ideas to take shape along the way.
You don't need any previous artistic experience. This workshop is about enjoying the process, discovering what matters to you and creating something meaningful, without pressure or expectations.
All materials will be provided, including a carefully curated collection of magazines, images, papers, textures and words you might never have thought to look for.
You'll leave with a beautiful, deeply personal vision board to take home, a visual reminder of your intentions, dreams and possibilities for the year ahead.
A day just for you. A chance to pause, reflect and create, and begin 2027 with a little more clarity, confidence and inspiration.
