'I Wish I Could Draw' with Kate Broadhurst - MASTERCLASS

£85.00

Sunday 22nd February 2026

10:00-4:00

mixed age: young people GCSE+ and adults

The Workshop:

So many people say “I can’t draw” - usually followed by “I haven’t picked up a pencil since school.”

This masterclass gently (and joyfully) unpicks where that belief comes from and shows you that drawing is a skill you can absolutely learn, at any age.

Led by Kate, a professional artist who loves sharing what she knows, this session is all about confidence, curiosity, and giving yourself permission to draw again.

You’ll explore drawing using a wide range of materials: graphite, pens, charcoal, and coloured pencils, and sketch from lots of different subjects. Through simple observational exercises, you’ll learn how to see differently, build your skills step by step, and fill pages of your sketchbook with drawings that surprise you (in a good way).

This isn’t about perfection.

It’s about learning practical techniques, loosening up, and discovering that drawing can be enjoyable, freeing, and deeply satisfying.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with:

    •    A sketchbook full of work and ideas

    •    A toolkit of drawing skills you can keep using at home

    •    The confidence to continue your creative journey feeling empowered - not “a beginner” anymore

All materials are supplied. Every student receives their own sketchbook and has full access to the studio’s art materials.

This masterclass is suitable for:

    •    Young people of GCSE age and above studying art

    •    Adults who are complete beginners

    •    Improvers who want to strengthen their foundations

If you’ve ever thought “I wish I could draw” this is the workshop for you. 🎨✏️
